Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park along Boston Harbor between the North End and Long Wharf
GENERAL INFORMATION
Please submit your application to join us for The Boston Arts Festival! This free event
celebrates the Boston arts community and annually attracts 50,000 people to scenic Christopher
Columbus Waterfront Park. The Boston Arts Festival will showcase 75 fine artists and artisans, and
also include a performing arts stage with a variety of live music throughout the day.
ELIGIBILITY
1. Preference will be given to artists from the greater Boston area.
2. Artists must show up on time and stay set up for the duration.
3. The festival reserves the right to reject any work not original to the submitting artist.
4. There will be a $10 application fee, and a $150 fee for participation for accepted artists.
6. No Commercial items for resale, kits or imported goods.
7. No booth sharing.
JURYING
• Approximately 75 applicants will be selected though a juried process.
• Selections will take into account the festival’s desire for a balanced representation of art
from a wide variety of disciplines.
2016 TIMELINE
• April 15: Completed application form and $10 application fee due.
• April 19-21: Jury Meets. Note that prior acceptance to the festival is not a guarantee of
acceptance to the 2016 event.
• April 22-24: Artists notifications will be sent
• May 8 : Contracts and payments due from accepted artists
EXHIBITION SPACE & DETAILS
• Each artist is supplied with a 10' x 9' covered space.
• Any additional display equipment is the responsibility of the artist.
• Signage is the artist’s responsibility.
• Artists are responsible for transporting, installing and displaying their work; however,
assistance is provided for moving work to and from the curb to the artist's space.
• Artists exhibit and sell their work at their own risk.
• The Boston Arts Festival and The City of Boston Parks & Recreation Department are not
responsible for damage, theft or loss of artwork.
