For more information please navigate to  http://thebostonartsfestival. com The Boston Arts Festival 2016 Saturday, September 10, 11 am to 6pm (Rain date:  Sunday Sept. 11 ) Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park along Boston Harbor between the North End and Long Wharf GENERAL INFORMATION Please submit your application to join us for The Boston Arts Festival! This free event celebrates the Boston arts community and annually attracts 50,000 people to scenic Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park. The Boston Arts Festival will showcase 75 fine artists and artisans, and also include a performing arts stage with a variety of live music throughout the day. ELIGIBILITY 1. Preference will be given to artists from the greater Boston area. 2. Artists must show up on time and stay set up for the duration....

Mattapan (Environmental) Action Network's most recent post really captures the mood: Meh! Tuning N2 the Mayoral Race . 'Cause I have been feeling a lil "meh!" about the race; especially as the field ballooned and eventually winnowed. Under the circumstances we'll have to cast our vote based on each candidate's commitment to artists and access to "the ahts"--arts education, arts OST-programming, arts institutions, arts facilities, to arts as a portal to civic engagement.   Tomorrow we'll post our findings here.
